About Us

Hello, my name is Joe Shupe, and I am the founder of Sevin Interiors. I have over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry starting at the age of 17 as a laborer on a framing crew. This experience piqued my interest and so when I entered Michigan State University I decided to major in Building Construction Management. I completed my studies in 4 years while continuing to work as a framer and carpenter.

After graduation I worked for 9 years as a builder for some of Cincinnati’s larger and most successful home builders. A four year stint running operations for a small custom home builder in Dayton led me to establish my own custom home building and land development company in 2001. I built custom homes in the $150k to $1 million range. I worked personally with each customer on the design and building of their home and built an average of 16 home a year until the economic downturn of 2008.

In 2010, I joined a partnership in a remodeling and service company. We specialized in home remodeling as well as working for local property managers rehabbing homes and apartment units and doing service on over 100 units. Sevin Interiors is a new venture that I started in 2016. My purpose for starting it was my desire to concentrate on custom home remodeling.
